Monday - "The Book Thief" movie

I watched "The Book Thief" on the plane. What a great movie! Here are some memorable quotes from the script:

"I see then ugliness and beauty, and wonder how the same thing can be both!" when the father tried to rescue his long time Jewish neighbour from being taken away by the soldiers and got kicked and punched for his trouble. Also makes you think of light being a particle and wave at the same time, which defies logic, but is still true

    You really need to read the book, The Book Thief. So much better than the movie. Glad you're both in NY safe and sound by now.
