Arrived pretty fatigued by sitting in an airline seat for 12 hours. I knew it was going to be a long trip, but the reality of it was overwhelming!
We thought that we had some leisure to sit down and have a coffee, but by the time we joined the queue of hundreds through immigration, customs and waited for our big-bags till Mary-Ann's arrived and then waited for mine and waited and ... and then realised that mine wasn't going to come! We reported it missing to the big tall baggage agent, who rang up and told us that it had gone ahead and just to pick it up at New York.
Then we had to walk for ages to where the plane was - same one, same crew - and we only just got there. We sat in the same plane, same crew, same seat and same passengers next to us!
